Goddard College Campus
Cooperation Vermont is working to purchase the Goddard College grounds and transform it into a Just Transition Campus. We envision a thriving, living, learning and working place where art and culture are centered, community is both built and cared for, and we can demonstrate what a Next Systems model may look like
Landstead Elders Project
Aging in Place & New Generations
This project is working on decommodifying land by bringing it into the CVT CLT, developing affordable housing, bringing land more into productive agricultural capacity, and ushering in a new generation of land stewards who help to provide a community-level of care for elders who are aging in place in their homes.
Marshfield Village Store
Preserving & Strengthening Community
The Marshfield Village store building was brought into the CLT in 2021. The business that operates in it was also purchased and was converted to a worker-owned cooperative. The first floor is 1800 sqft and houses the store. The second floor is 1800 sqft and is being used as affordable housing. The third floor is 1800 sqft and is ready to be developed into affordable housing and as a shelter of last resort for the village in the event of another flood.
